Configuration Testing

Configuration Testing is the testing type in which test team test the software with every combination of the supported Software and the hardware.  In configuration testing we define with the software guideline of supported version (Software and Hardware) in which software will work. We run all test cases with these combination to verify the result.

Configuration Testing also called Hardware Compatibility Testing because in this we check that the developer software is compatible with hardware or note. hardware may be Printer, Scanners, Interface Cords etc.

QA start the Configuration Testing on the Software, We need to consider which of these configuration areas would be most tied to the software. A game needed most attention over sound and video while a greeting card application needed good support to printer.

XPath Expression to locate Web Element

In last article i mentioned you how to locate the Web Element with id, Name, LinkText, Partial LinkText, CSS Selectors, Class Name and Tag Name. We use FireBug add-one to use these 7 locators to locate the Web Element on Web Page. Now we are talking about XPath expression. Which is also a type of Locator. We need FirePath add-ons to use it.
