Independent Testing is to corresponding the Testing Team which is independent from the developer to avoid author bias so that independent team is able to find more defect. This Independent Testing is more effective because the testing team is totally independent so they will perform test without any guidance and execute test as they want so the probability of finding defects is more.

- Testing perform by the person who write the item. Means testing perform by developer itself. In this level you can see no dependence because developer itself testing his/her own developed item.
- Testing perform by the another person from the same team. It may be another developer/Tester. In this little bit independence because Testing team within that project and reporting to the same development manager.
- Testing perform by the another person who are not in the team but within the Organization. It may be Test Team within Organization. In this dependence is moving little bit more because the team outside that project but reporting to the same Project Manager.
- Testing perform by the Testing team from the different organization. This is higher independence because the test team is outsourced and they do not aware of the software.
